Privacy policy

What this site collects, why, who else sees it, and how to get it changed or deleted. Plain English, no surprises.

Last updated 22 October 2026. Andy Fox-Hulme, trading as Brisbane Web Marketing, Brisbane, Queensland.

What I collect

  • When you ask for the free skills: your email address, and your first name and business type if you give them. I also record the date, the page you came from, any campaign tags in the link (like utm_source), and the country your connection comes from.
  • When you use the free score tool: nothing is sent to me. The score is worked out in your browser.
  • When you buy something: payment is handled by Stripe. I see your name, email and what you bought. I never see or store your card details.
  • When you browse: basic, anonymous counts of steps on the skills pages (an offer was viewed, a download was clicked), with no personal details attached. If analytics and advertising tools are switched on (see below), they collect more.

Why

  • To give you what you asked for, such as the skill downloads.
  • To email you about ads, AI and small business, if you ticked the box to say yes. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and I act on unsubscribes within 5 business days.
  • To see which pages and ads are useful, so I spend less on the ones that aren't.

I don't sell or rent your details to anyone.

Analytics and advertising tools

This site may load Google Tag Manager, which can switch on these tools:

  • Google Analytics (Google): which pages are visited and how people got here.
  • Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft): heatmaps and session recordings of how the pages are used, with form fields masked.
  • Meta Pixel (Meta, for Facebook and Instagram) and LinkedIn Insight Tag (LinkedIn): whether people who saw my ads visited, signed up or bought, and to show ads to past visitors.

These tools use cookies and similar technology, and each company handles that data under its own privacy policy. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use an ad blocker, or adjust ad preferences in your Google, Meta, Microsoft and LinkedIn accounts.

Where it's kept

Sign-up details are stored in a database run by Cloudflare, which also hosts this site. Payment records stay with Stripe. Email may be sent through an email service provider. These providers may store data outside Australia.

I keep sign-up details until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete them, then delete them, except anything I need to keep for tax or legal reasons.

Your choices

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. If the change affects how I use details you've already given me, I'll tell you by email.
