I must post more often, I must post more often, I must post more often, I must post more often, I must post more often, I must post more often, I must post more often, I must post more often,…. Gee I wish we had copy and past when they made me do that on the blackboard at school

I have been working at a blog commenting plan that is starting to get me some traction so In a little while, after a few more comments I’ll return and fill in some details..

This is looking like a nice little earner tho so stay tuned!

There’s some big changes coming for the blog too.. New Theme, more focus on traffic generation as my overall mantra plus a back link building service which I am starting to offer next week..

Ok, I’ll be back (I can’t resist sorry: I’ll be back-linking)

Cheers

Andy

Of all the marketing tools that you can use in promoting your website and products online I’d recommend article marketing.

Here’s a few ways you can jumpstart your article marketing:

  • Do proper keyword research. This is one of the first things that you need to do. You have to figure out the most popular keywords being used by your target market when they go online and look for specific information. You need to write your articles around each of these keywords/key phrases so you can easily make your articles appear on Google etc for relevant searches.
  • Analyze the competitiveness of your keywords. You must also take into consideration the competition online when choosing keywords to write articles around. Your articles will have greater likelihood of showing up as top 10 search page results if you stick with keywords that are not very competitive; meaning, they are not already being targeted by millions of marketers worldwide.
  • Kick-start your articles with intriguing titles. Make sure you include the keyword or key phrase. Your titles must be attention-grabbing and enticing so that online readers will be encouraged to spend their precious time reading your articles.
  • Keep your articles short. You need to understand that the people you are serving (online users) have very limited attention span. These people usually don’t have the luxury of time to spend hours in front of their computers. You can serve them better if you can share your knowledge using 500 words or less. It would also help if you can make your content scannable (more easily read) by using subheadings, numbered lists, and bullet points whenever appropriate.
  • Your articles must be informative. Show your readers how much you appreciate their time reading your content by loading your articles with the kind of information that they are looking for. Share some trade secrets that they will be happy to know about or help them resolve their pressing issues so they can improve the quality of their lives.

So there you have some great article writing tips!

Speed and Focus..

1. Understand Your Target Customer
If you design a website you think will attract clients, but you don’t really know who your customers are and what they want to buy, it is less likely that you will make much money. Websites are an extension or replacement for a standard storefront. You can send email to your existing clients and ask them to complete a survey or even have a suggestion/feedback box while they are browsing on your website.

  • Ask them about their choices.
  • If they like your products then why?
  • Do you offer discount prices or coupons?
  • Are your prices consistently lower than others?
  • Is your shipping price cheaper?
  • Do you respond faster to client questions?
  • Are your product descriptions better?
  • Are your return policies and guarantees better than your competitor’s?
  • Ask your customer to complete a simple contact form with name, address, age, gender, etc. when they purchase a product. If you offer a free report or coupon as an incentive you’ll get a great response rate!

2. Don’t focus solely on the main page, keywords and titles
The first step to sales when customers visit your site should be to see the products they were looking for. Of course, search engine optimization and better rankings have great importance but never lose sight of the fact that they won’t keep your customer on your site or make them buy.
Once you have got the customer to your site, you must ensure that he gets interested in your products or services and stays around. Motivate him to buy the product by providing clear and unambiguous information.
If you happen to sell more than one product or service, provide all necessary information about each. By providing suitable and easily visible links, the customer can navigate to these pages and get the details easily.

3. Does your website provide clear contact information?
When you publish a website remember your customers can buy your products 24 hrs a day, also your customers may be from other states or countries that are thousands of miles away in different timezones. Always provide contact information, preferably on every page of your website, complete with mailing address, telephone number and an email address that reaches you quickly.

People may need to contact you about sales, general information or technical problems with your site. Also have your email forwarded to another email address if you do not check your website mail often.

I hope you appreciate these reminders of those important items we can so often overlook, remember we value each and every customer like gold!

Best

Andy
